About our Neighborhood
Tucked into Atlanta’s Westside, Howell Station traces its origins to the late 1800s, when the Western & Atlantic Railroad first ran through the city. Once a rural outpost beyond Atlanta’s urban core, the neighborhood evolved into a thriving, close-knit community, weathering the pressures of industrialization and urban expansion. Today, Howell Station stands as a hidden gem amid the broader revitalization shaping the Westside.

No one is so rich that he can do without a good neighbor.

Knight Park
At the heart of Howell Station lies Knight Park, a welcoming green space defined by its gently sloping hills, mature trees, tennis courts, and a lively playground for the neighborhood’s children. Friends of Howell Station, the HSNA’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm, raises funds and advocates for the park’s ongoing maintenance and improvement. Through these efforts, the community continues to invest in the care and enhancement of this cherished public space.
